Problem Note 61779: When you log on by using the REST API, it can fail with "Unexpected character ('e' (code 101)): expected a valid value (number, String, array...)"
In SAS® Risk and Finance Workbench, logging on by using the REST application programming interface (API) can fail, which causes model group runs to fail. When you encounter this problem, an error like the following occurs:
I/O error on POST request for "http:// ... /SASLogon/v1/tickets":
Unexpected character ('e' (code 101)): expected a valid value (number, String, array, object, 'true', 'false' or 'null') at [Source:
org.apache.http.conn.EofSensorInputStream@6b332d9a; line: 1, column: 2]; nested exception is org.codehaus.jackson.JsonParseException: Unexpected character ('e'(code 101)): expected a valid value (number, String, array, object, 'true', 'false' or 'null') at [Source:
org.apache.http.conn.EofSensorInputStream@6b332d9a; line: 1, column: 2]
This problem occurs if your user ID password contains certain special characters such as the equal sign (=), ampersand (&), or percent sign (%). Other special characters work as expected.
The workaround is to avoid using these special characters in passwords.
